CELEBRATES INDUCTION TO GOLDEN KEY
The University is the first online chapter of the International Honour Society
Fort Lauderdale, FL, Nov. 7, 2007 — Kaplan University, a leading provider of online postsecondary education, and the Golden Key Honour Society, one of the largest and most active academic honor societies, hosted a chartering and induction ceremony today recognizing the University as the Honour Society’s first online chapter.

The support and energy that Kaplan has put into chartering this new chapter is absolutely remarkable,” said Alex Perwich, III Golden Key CEO. “We expect to learn a lot by working with Kaplan University since you are accomplishing so many great things virtually,” Perwich added.
Hein Onkenhout, Kaplan University’s Chief Operating Officer of Academics, accepted the Golden Key new chapter plaque on behalf of the University. Jane Bravo, Ph.D., Director of Academic Strategic Initiatives at Kaplan, was inducted as an honorary member and recognized for her role in initiating the University’s membership.
“Kaplan University Golden Key members should look at their challenges as opportunities,” said Dr. Bravo. “At Kaplan we encourage our students to strive for excellence so that there are no limits to their accomplishments.”
Kaplan University’s Golden Key members will now gain access to networking opportunities with more than 1.7 million members across the world, community service, exclusive internship and employment opportunities, and scholarship programs.
