AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO DELTA AIR LINES EMPLOYEES
Davenport, IA – Dec.18, 2007 – Kaplan University, a leading provider of online higher education, today awarded four Delta Air Lines employees one-year scholarships to attend the University. Kaplan recognized the scholarship winners during a luncheon at the Delta Training Center in Atlanta, Ga.
The Kaplan University Scholarship recipients are:
- Cynthia Green, a Senior Crew Scheduler in Atlanta;
- Rhonda Eicher, a Ramp Tower Coordinator based in Los Angeles;
- Regina O’Connor, a Gate Agent in Boston;
- and Kevin VanPelt, a Product Line Manager in Atlanta.
These four scholarship recipients were among 220 Delta employees who applied for the award by submitting essays explaining what a scholarship to Kaplan University would mean to them. The one-year scholarship will include up to 45 quarter credit hours of tuition-free course work. The winners may enroll in any of Kaplan University’s undergraduate or MBA programs.
Kaplan has been a partner of Delta’s Tuition Assistance Program for the last four years, allowing airline employees to earn degrees from a regionally accredited university that provides the flexibility and convenience of online course work.
