SCORE! EDUCATIONAL CENTERS EXPANDS SERVICES;

NINE CENTERS TO ADD PERSONAL ACADEMIC TUTORING

-- Research Shows 1 ½ Grade Level Rise in Math or Reading in Just 45 Hours of SCORE!’s Personal Academic Tutoring --

Chicago, April 4, 2006 – SCORE! Educational Centers, Inc., a leading provider of after-school learning programs and a subsidiary of the international educational services leader Kaplan, Inc., is expanding nine of its current computer-based centers to feature SCORE!’s Personal Academic Tutoring, a more intensive, individualized program designed for a small group, and led by a specially trained tutor.  These new Multi-Program Centers will be located in Southern California, the Chicagoland area, New York, Connecticut and Maryland.

A recent independent study found that math and reading students that come to SCORE! twice a week for an hour session of Personal Academic Tutoring average 1 ½ grade levels of progress in just 45 hours of instruction. (ERS Research, 2005.)

SCORE!’s new Multi-Program Centers will be located in the following locations:

Chicagoland - Arlington Heights, Glenview and Lake Zurich, Illinois

Southern California – Beverly Hills, Irvine and Mission Viejo, California

New York/Connecticut – Manhattan (Columbus Avenue), New York and Westport, Connecticut

Maryland – Potomac, Maryland

These 9 new Centers bring the number of SCORE!’s Multi-Program Centers to 21 nationwide.
