Kaplan Professional Acquires The Saenger Organization, Leading Insurance Training School

Third Insurance Industry Acquisition This Year

Chicago, IL, September 2, 2004 - Kaplan Professional, a division of Kaplan, Inc., announced today that it has acquired The Saenger Organization on behalf of its subsidiary, Dearborn Financial Services. The Saenger Organization is a well-established provider of insurance pre-licensing and continuing education programs throughout the Northeast region and is Kaplan Professional's third insurance industry acquisition this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Saenger Organization will become part of Dearborn Financial Services, a leading provider of licensing, continuing education, certification training and compliance solutions for securities, insurance and financial services organizations and professionals. The Saenger Organization was established 25 years ago and has provided insurance training to over 150,000 professionals.
