Kaplan Opens New Test Prep Center in Philadelphia to Meet Increased Demand for College and Graduate School Admissions Help

Center Provides Additional Convenient Study Option for Students At U. Penn, Drexel and Temple Campus; Marks Largest Center in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA, October 11, 2004 – Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, the world leader in test preparation and a division of Kaplan, Inc., announced today that it has opened a new state-of-the-art center in Philadelphia in the heart of the U. Penn, Drexel and Temple campus areas. The new location, built to help meet the increased demand for college and graduate school preparation courses, represents Kaplan’s second test prep center in Philadelphia. The first, located at 1528 Walnut Street, has been serving students since 1998.

The new center, which is located directly across from the University of Pennsylvania campus at 200 South 40th Street, has two classrooms, a private tutoring room, a study area where students can take practice tests and review class sessions, and Internet access so students can access their online Kaplan materials in a quiet study environment. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 2:00pm – 10:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm.

“Kaplan has been a part of the community for the past six years,” said David Saba, Regional Director for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. “As competition for university and graduate school admissions grows – making performance on admissions exams ever more critical – preparation for these exams becomes increasingly important. We are excited to be able to offer another convenient location and more class options to help our students achieve their goals.”

The Penn Center will offer preparation for the MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, GRE, PCAT and DAT. The first LSAT classes have already started in preparation for the October LSAT. The fall MCAT classes for the April MCAT are filling fast. Following is a list of start dates for upcoming classes:

LSAT – October 19th and December 2nd
MCAT – October 29th and December 4th
DAT – November 3rd
GRE – December 5th
GMAT – December 7th
