Boca Raton, FL, August 11, 2004 - For the third time this year, Kaplan, Inc., a leading provider of educational and career services, announced that it has expanded its facilities to accommodate the growth of its online higher education programs. Kaplan will occupy an additional 96,948 square feet at 1515 Cypress Creek Road in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., starting in January 2005.
Kaplan's operations in South Florida - including its current Boca Raton locations at 6409 and 6501 Congress Avenue and Delray Beach at 1615 S. Congress Avenue and the Cypress Creek location - now occupy over 164,000 square feet.
"This is a strategic move for Kaplan's online higher education institutions," said Andrew Rosen, President and Chief Operating Officer, Kaplan, Inc., and President, Kaplan College. "In addition to physical growth accommodation, we're excited that Fort Lauderdale's perfect positioning - almost equidistant between Miami and West Palm Beach - will allow us to continue attracting and hiring the best and brightest in the South Florida region."
Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner, Christine Teel, added, "We welcome Kaplan's move to uptown Fort Lauderdale. Our city, with its wonderfully diversified mix of industries can benefit from the significant addition of such a nationally recognized education company."
