Students Get an Edge on PSAT, SAT and ACT at Kaplan's Free National Practice Test Day on May 17

Over 7,500 Students to Participate

New York, NY, April 28, 2003 - After May 17, no student should have to take a college admissions test cold. To help students warm up for looming high-stakes PSAT, SAT and ACT exams, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, the nation's oldest and largest provider of test preparation and admissions services, is holding a National Free Practice Test Day in more than 150 locations across the country. In addition to taking a free full-length simulated PSAT, SAT or ACT under timed test-like conditions, students will receive detailed performance feedback, including an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses. More than 7,500 students are expected to participate.

"Our 65-year experience in helping students prepare for high-stakes tests confirms that those with the most practice and training have the best advantage," said John Polstein, President, Kaplan Test Prep. "Kaplan's free practice test day enables students to gauge their test-taking skills and tailor their preparation before sweating it out on the real thing."

After May 17, the next official SAT will be held on June 7. Students will also be able to take the SAT seven times in the coming school year on Oct. 11, 2003; Nov. 1 2003; Dec. 6 2003; Jan. 24, 2004; Mar. 27, 2004; May 1, 2004 and June 5, 2004. The next official ACT will be offered on June 14, 2003, with additional administrations on Sept. 27, 2003; Oct. 25, 2003; Dec. 13, 2003; Feb. 7, 2004; Apr. 3, 2004 and June 12, 2004.
