Kaplan College Goes International With First Non-U.S. Affiliation

Kaplan Extends U.S. Degree Credit to Canadian Students Through Affiliation with Polar Bear Corporate Education Solutions

Halifax, Nova Scotia/New York, NY, October 31, 2002 -- Kaplan College, an accredited leader in higher education with campus-based and online programs in business, information technology, criminal justice and paralegal studies, has signed an agreement with a leading Canadian corporate training company that will enable students of its programs to transfer up to 40 credit hours towards a Kaplan College bachelor's or associate's degree.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kaplan College will award transfer credit for students who have completed Microsoft and CompTIA training with Polar Bear Corporate Education Solutions, the largest provider of corporate IT training in Canada, provided they have passed the corresponding examinations.

Polar Bear students can now transfer their credits towards Kaplan's online Associate of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Bachelor of Science in Management degree with a concentration in Information Technology Management. The agreement also provides terms for joint marketing and gives Kaplan entrée to every major city in Canada.
