BrassRing, Inc. Acquires Leading Provider of Online Services to Colleges And Universities
NEW YORK, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- BrassRing Inc., a business-to-business hiring-management and recruitment company, has acquired CareerConnections, Inc., a privately held company that provides office-automation tools to college and university career centers.
CareerConnections, formerly known as Resume Expert Systems, Inc., offers a line of industry-leading software products that facilitates online interaction among students, career-center professionals and employers. CareerConnections is based in Overland Park, Kansas, and will become a part of BrassRing’s campus division.
The CareerConnections web-based product enables schools to create campus-specific Intranet sites to which students and alumni can turn for help in finding career opportunities. CareerConnections’ current product, CC 9.5, allows a career center to efficiently link students and recent graduates with employers seeking entry-level and early-career candidates. CC 9.5 is the first Internet Application Service Provider in the industry that allows for SQL data support at either a national or local level.
"CareerConnections is an outstanding strategic fit for us," said Randy Siegel, vice president of BrassRing’s campus division. "We’re already a leading resource for candidates new to the workplace, and we have strong relationships with many of the nation’s top employers. CC has long-standing ties to hundreds of career centers across the country, serving hundreds of thousands of students and young alumni. Together, we’ll be able to streamline the process by which young job candidates, career-center professionals and employers interact."
"Our mission is to give career-center professionals the tools they need to assist young adults with the transition from college to the workplace," said Dann Kroeger, president of CareerConnections. "This merger significantly increases our ability to help career-center professionals match young candidates with attractive job opportunities.
"Our goal is to strengthen the college career center to make sure it’s a place where students, alumni and employers can intersect quickly and easily," Kroeger added. "This step we are taking creates a winning combination. All parties have something to gain: CareerConnections, BrassRing, college career centers, young job seekers and employers." The BrassRing campus division now includes CareerConnections.
