WASHINGTON - February 25, 2002-- Kaplan, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Washington Post Company (NYSE: WPO), announced today that Jonathan Grayer, Chairman and CEO, will be making a presentation at the 5th Annual Merrill Lynch Advertising/Marketing & Education Information Conference on February 26, 2002 at 8:40 am Eastern Time. The presentation will cover Kaplan and its four operating units, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, The Kaplan Colleges, Kaplan Professional, and SCORE! including information on the current status and prospects for its education and career services businesses.
