Kaptest.com and PinkMonkey.com Make Sure that Parents Aren't Left Behind

New York (November 6, 2000
) - The fall college admissions rush propels students forward but leaves some parents behind. Kaplan's test prep and admissions Web site, Kaptest.com, the largest provider of test preparation, admissions and guidance products, advice and services, and Pinkmonkey.com, Inc., the Internet's largest provider of literature notes including MonkeyNotes and Barron's Booknotes titles, have partnered to ensure that parents and students alike have access to crucial test preparation and admissions resources, as crunch-time for college and graduate school applications approaches.

"The demand from students and parents for quality test prep and admissions services is at an all time high and we want to ensure that every family member involved in the admissions process can easily access Kaplan's in-depth test prep and admissions content," said Sharon Miller, Vice President and General Manager of kaptest.com.

Together the two companies launched the new test prep section for students (and their parents) applying to college as well as to graduate, law, business and medical school. The new section features Kaplan Test Samplers for the SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP, GMAT, GRE, LSAT and MCAT entrance exams. Each of Kaplan's Test Samplers includes samples of each question type in a mini practice test, as well as correct answers and strategic explanations.

"College and grad school is a big step into the unknown," adds Miller. "Our partnership with Pinkmonkey allows us to help ease anxiety for the tens of thousands of daily visitors who access PinkMonkey's academic materials."

At PinkMonkey.com, students and parents can also access articles and features on planning for college and beyond, and financial aid sections for college, graduate, law, business and medical school.

"We are delighted to be able to offer the Kaplan test preparation section and additional information on college planning, financial aid and other topics that are important to the student and their parents as they plan for their advanced education," stated Keith McIntosh, PinkMonkey.com's Chairman and CEO. "This added content on our site reflects the mission of PinkMonkey.com to provide its members with the very best in educational resources, free of charge."

In response to demand from parents, both sites include special "Parents Only" sections. Kaptest.com offers nationally recognized, comprehensive online test preparation and admissions services for individuals applying to secondary school, college, graduate and professional school.

One of the most popular sites for teens and college students, kaptest.com offers online SAT, ACT, PSAT and AP exam courses and an online college admissions course. Kaptest.com's Info Center includes free step-by-step guides to admissions, life in school, financial aid, and Kaplan programs.
