New York, May 23, 2000 -- KaplanCollege.com announced today the launch of the KaplanCollege.com School of Real Estate, making it the first to offer online, instructor-led courses for real estate professionals. The KaplanCollege.com School of Real Estate offers a broad selection of online courses that help real estate professionals develop the skills they need to stay on the cutting edge in this rapidly changing field.
The KaplanCollege.com School of Real Estate will be run under the leadership of John Tuccillo, Ph.D., who was named Executive Director. His presentations on the economic outlook, real estate markets, and change in the real estate business are invariably witty, informative, and accessible to both lay and professional audiences.
Mr. Tuccillo was educated at Georgetown and Cornell University. His doctorate is in economics. His book, The Eight New Rules of Real Estate, is a best seller and has been instrumental in shaping the thinking of real estate leaders as they approach the challenge of changing their business models. From 1987 to 1997, he was Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors and he is currently a regular columnist for The Real Estate Professional.
"The Real Estate profession has undergone considerable change in a relatively short period of time. Our online curriculum speaks to a wide range of topics and is designed to help agents and brokers develop the marketing, management sales and business skills they need," said Mr. Tuccillo.
