ANDOVER COLLEGE APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT CHRISTOPHER QUINN

PORTLAND, Maine, Dec. 14, 2006 - Andover College's Board of Trustees today announced the

appointment of Christopher Quinn as the school's new President. Quinn was selected by

Andover College’s Board of Trustees following a comprehensive national search.

"Andover College is fortunate to have Christopher Quinn assume the presidency at this important

juncture given his outstanding leadership experience in higher education,” said Les Lafond,

Chairman of Andover College’s Board of Trustees. “As we look ahead to the future, we expect

that Quinn will lead Andover providing quality educational experiences for the citizens of Maine."

Quinn has spent much of his professional career in educational leadership positions; most

recently as Vice President of Western U.S. Operations for Cortiva Education Group. He is

relocating from Boulder, Colo., where his prior experience includes eight years as college

president for Boulder College of Massage Therapy/Rocky Mountain Healing Arts Institute. He

replaces Dr. David Clinefelter, who has been appointed Provost of Kaplan University.

“Andover College has a terrific team of educators dedicated to the advancement of its students

and the college,” said Quinn. “We have a tremendous opportunity to meet the needs of the

greater Portland and Lewiston communities in high-quality, career-focused higher education. I

am honored to have the privilege to lead the college into its next era.”
